The swimming pool

We have a large heated salt water swimming pool, with Roman steps and a robust handrail, in the rear garden. It has an extended first step to enable toddlers to have a paddle. The pool measures 11 x 5m and has a water level of 1.4m throughout. It is surrounded by a fence with a security gate. It also has a rigid pool cover for extra safety and security. Around the whole of the pool is a large terrace with plenty of colourful sun loungers. On the south western side of the pool is a large ‘auvent’ (pavilion) which provides shelter from the heat of the Charentais sun. There is also a solar-powered shower and a toilet with baby changing table within the pool enclosure.

The garden

The large garden has a sturdy swing set incorporating three swings and a long slide. There is also plenty of space to kick a ball around, play short tennis, swing-ball, boules, or just sit around and read.

There are two wooden picnic tables in the garden where you can enjoy your meal or just play games.

Laundry / Library

Within the Maison du Vigneron and situated between Pâquerette and Myosotis, is the laundry (10m2), which doubles as the library.

All of our guests have the use of the laundry which contains two washing machines, sink unit, iron and ironing board.

The library contains a selection of DVDs and both English and French books to borrow or swop, board games and tourist information.

Salle de jeux

The games room is situated within a former cow shed, at the front of the property and measures 43m2. It contains a table tennis table, a table football table, a punch bag (parental supervision advised) and games for the garden such as short tennis, swing ball, boules etc.

Le Hangar

The old hanger, a two-sided barn measuring 50m2, provides a safe, secure, covered play area for our youngest guests. It contains a play house, ball tent, low slide, baby swing and sand pit, a beautifully decorated old-style school desk (for those artistic moments that every child has), chairs and tables.

There is also a comfy three piece suite for the adults to use while the children play.

La Grande Salle

La Grande Salle measures 88m2 and serves as a beautiful function room with a working Charentais fireplace.

It is available to rent by guests who book all of our gîtes. There is therefore no risk of disturbance to other guests.

It is a multi-purpose space and could be hired for a variety of events such as:

Receptions and christenings.

Family get-togethers.

Special anniversary.

Business meetings with breakout areas in the Salle de classe, the comfortable seating around fireplace, the covered porch and the large terrace.
